Composite Sandwich Conference

In 2026, the Fiber-Reinforced Composite Sandwich Conference will take place in Halle for the fourth time.

Sandwich construction methods based on fiber-reinforced plastics enable highly efficient lightweight structures and thereby make a significant contribution to resource conservation in a wide range of applications.

While the topic of "lightweight construction" is broadly covered at many conferences and symposia, there are only a few events worldwide with an explicit focus on sandwich construction methods and sandwich core materials. To promote the exchange of knowledge on current developments in materials and technology in the field of fiber-reinforced sandwich construction, ThermHex Waben GmbH and Fraunhofer IMWS are organizing the Fiber-Reinforced Sandwich Conference in Halle (Saale).

In addition to technical exchange and networking opportunities, the conference aims to highlight and discuss new applications for sandwich materials. Additionally, on the evening before the event, conference participants will be offered a tour of the ThermHex Waben GmbH production facility as well as a guided tour of the Fraunhofer Pilot Plant Center for Polymer Synthesis and Processing.
