Preparation of test specimens
The conditioning of components and test specimens refers to the preparation of the test specimens prior to the actual test. Different types of conditioning can be used for this purpose, depending on the type of test and the requirements.
Some examples of conditioning methods used at Fraunhofer IMWS are:
- Temperature conditioning: The test specimens are brought to a specific temperature for a certain period of time in order to test their reactions under different temperatures.
- Humidity conditioning: The test specimens are exposed to a specific humidity level to test their reactions under different humidity conditions.
- Load conditioning: The test specimens are exposed to a specific load to test their reactions under different load conditions.
All tests are carried out in accordance with the relevant standards and regulations to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
